A Small Act, a Big Impact

Israel’s forests, after two years of war and increasing environmental challenges, bear deep scar; thousands of trees burned, wildlife habitats destroyed, and soil across large regions has been left blackened and devastated. Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) century-long work of planting and caring for Israel’s forests has suffered serious setbacks and damage.

But together, we can turn blackened land back into thriving green.
By planting even one tree, you become part of KKL-JNF’s reforestation efforts: you protect Israel’s forests and ecosystems, restore natural habitats, improve air and soil quality, and leave a living legacy for future generations.

Plant today – impact tomorrow.

Nature’s Cry for Help – KKL-JNF is Answering It

In the Galilee and the Western Negev, thousands of acres of forest were lost to missile fire, military activity, and increasingly extreme weather. Climate change continues to threaten Israel’s forests and environment: winters grow shorter, hot dry days become more frequent. Nearly every forest fire turns into a large-scale natural disaster.

The damage extends far beyond burnt trees. Forest loss means:

  • Soil erosion
  • Destruction of wildlife habitats
  • Weaker climate resilience
  • Damaged nature and recreation sites
  • Lost cycling and hiking trails
  • Reduced air quality

Our forests are not just trees; they are Isreal’s green lungs. Without them, the land suffers, and so do we – and they need our help now.

Restoration is long and complex; it takes years, sometimes decades.
KKL-JNF follows a professional, science-based “Forest Management Policy”, that our professional forestry experts and researchers have developed and refined over more than a century of hands-on work and experience. This ensures forests heal as naturally and fully as possible through actions such as:

  • Mapping damaged areas
  • Clearing debris
  • Surveying soil and vegetation
  • Monitoring natural regeneration with minimal interference
  • Conducting forest research
  • Identifying new planting zones
  • Planting tree species suited to each area’s needs and soil

Your tree becomes part of KKL-JNF’s vital forestry work – a direct, meaningful action to help  maintain, protect and restore Israel’s forests.
