In the Western Negev, devastation has turned into determination. Entire communities were destroyed and uprooted on October 7, yet the people of the region are committed to rebuilding and returning home. From day one, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) has been on the ground, providing vital support to affected communities. Today, we remain steadfast in helping families rebuild their lives, restoring farmlands, rehabilitating forests and nature sites, and ensuring the region can recover and thrive once more.

But we can’t do it alone – join our mission and make a real impact in Israel today.

The Day Everything Changed
On October 7, 2023, the Western Negev (Gaza Envelope) faced unimaginable loss and tragedy. Communities were shattered, livelihoods erased, and thousands were forced from their homes. Thriving, close-knit towns were left with deep physical and emotional wounds. Many lives were lost, and the events of that day changed the region and Israel forever. Yet even in the face of such hardship, the people of the Western Negev continue to show strength, resilience, and a commitment to rebuilding.

More than two years later, KKL-JNF continues to support the Western Negev – rebuilding, restoring, and creating the foundations for families to return, farmers to work their land again, and communities to regain a sense of safety and normal life. Our mission is not only to restore what was destroyed, but to build a stronger, more resilient future for the next generation.

How Your Donation Impacts the Western Negev
The region’s recovery depends on ongoing, meaningful support – and your generosity makes it possible.
Your donation directly fuels KKL-JNF’s essential restoration and development efforts, including:

  • Building new housing and communal neighborhoods
  • Reviving the regional economy by restoring and preparing crop fields and farmlands
  • Resilience, therapeutic and educational programs
  • Scholarships for local university and college students
  • Rebuilding communal infrastructure, including playgrounds, green public spaces and access routes
  • Rehabilitating local forests and natural sites, such as the Be’eri Forest
  • Placing bomb shelters and providing emergency aid to the regional councils and local security units
  • Creating memorial sites, including the Re’im-Nova Memorial, the Heroines Path and the Iron Sward Memorial Forest

Every donation becomes action on the ground – rebuilding homes, restoring nature, and helping communities stand strong again. Your support is the foundation of the region’s future.
