{"id":138,"date":"2024-01-18T07:37:34","date_gmt":"2024-01-18T07:37:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/git.quatro.digital\/clients\/kkl\/?post_type=community&#038;p=138"},"modified":"2024-02-08T12:40:03","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T12:40:03","slug":"moshav-yesha","status":"publish","type":"community","link":"https:\/\/donate.kkl-jnf.org\/westernnegevtribute\/?community=moshav-yesha","title":{"rendered":"Yesha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Moshav<\/strong> Yesha\u00a0(Hebrew for\u00a0<em>&#8220;Salvation&#8221;<\/em>) derived its name from the biblical passage (Psalms 20:6):\u00a0&#8220;\u05d1\u05d2\u05d1\u05d5\u05e8\u05d5\u05ea \u05d9\u05e9\u05e2 \u05d9\u05de\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5&#8221; \\ &#8220;With the power of salvation of His right hand&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe moshav was established in 1957 by a group of Jews who were expelled from Egypt and deported to Israel in the wake of the 1956 Suez Crisis, after Operation Kadesh. Currently, the moshav has about 130 families, many are second and third generation descendants of those original pioneers, plus many other new families have joined over the years.<\/p>\n<p>The moshav has a rich, vibrant, productive community life, with services such as a Synagogue, swimming pool, gym, sports fields, mini market, and a Health Clinic. There is even a Mexican restaurant on the moshav. The moshav represents positive values such as; Zionism, love of the land, cultivating the land and maintaining its borders, friendship and mutual assistance. The farms of moshav grow seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, which are packed and marketed for the local market and export on site. The farmers from the moshav are considered leaders in their field, using the latest technology to maximize efficiency and food safety. There are also many other businesses in the community established by the residents.
