{"id":187,"date":"2024-01-22T07:31:19","date_gmt":"2024-01-22T07:31:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/git.quatro.digital\/clients\/kkl\/?post_type=community&#038;p=187"},"modified":"2024-02-11T10:16:27","modified_gmt":"2024-02-11T10:16:27","slug":"moshav-netiv-haasara","status":"publish","type":"community","link":"https:\/\/donate.kkl-jnf.org\/westernnegevtribute\/?community=moshav-netiv-haasara","title":{"rendered":"Netiv Ha\u2019Asara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Moshav Netiv Ha\u2019Asara <\/strong>was founded by former residents of the Israeli community of Netiv Ha\u2019Asara in the Sinai Peninsula, which was evacuated as a result of the peace agreement with Egypt.\u00a0 The original moshav had been named for ten soldiers who were killed in a helicopter accident south of Rafah in 1971, and was originally named &#8220;Minyan&#8221;. \u00a0After the Israeli <strong>disengagement<\/strong> from Gaza in 2005, Netiv Ha\u2019Asara became the closest community in Israel to the Gaza Strip, located 400 meters away from the edge of the Palestinian town of Beit Lahia.\u00a0 Being so close to the border, the moshav was often targeted by rockets and mortar shelling from Gaza.
