Israel is facing its darkest hour since its founding, enduring relentless bombings, terror attacks, and the evacuation of entire communities. Israel’s northern and southern regions have been under unprecedented daily attacks since October 7, 2023, threatening people, communities, and the environment. For over a year, KKL-JNF has been on the front lines, providing emergency support and protecting Israel’s precious environment.
All donations to KKL-JNF are recognized for tax purposes only in Israel, according to Section 46 of the Tax Ordinance
On October 7th, 2023, 1,200 people were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists in the largest massacres of Jews since the Holocaust.
Since then, dozens of civilians were murdered in terror attacks throughout the country; and more than 800 Israeli soldiers and security forces have been killed in ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip and along the Lebanese border.
Some 90,000 Israeli civilians remain displaced from their communities by Hamas and Hezbollah rocket, missile, and drone attacks, with no estimate of when they can finally return home.
Israel’s forests and wildlife are devastated, as Hezbollah aerial assaults sparked massive fires that burned tens of thousands of acres and destroyed countless habitats for animals. Over 230,000 dunams (57 acres/23 hectares) have been consumed by the flames.
KKL-JNF has been providing crucial support to survivors of the October 7th massacres and displaced people, along with continuing our important role as the guardian of Israel’s forest. We’re leading the way with a number of critical projects that help build resilience and protect Israel’s people, wildlife, and nature.
